The moutaineer, ex-climber, agronomist engineer Helton Perillo Ferreira Leite tries to show in this book some  beauties of the Parque Nacional do Itatiaia (Itatiaia National Park). The first brasilian park, which completed 70 years at Jun/14/2007.

Helton describes about geology, flora, fauna, climate and preservation.

Describes trails, shows maps, teaches how to use compass and GPS, etc.

Strategically situated between the two greaters cities of the country, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Itatiaia is divided in two parts: the Lower at the Mantiqueira’s hillside jungle and the Hight or Plateau at Agulhas Negras region.
